On Saturday (from 11:00 a.m.) Austria’s speed women will once more be fighting for World Cup points in Crans Montana following the World Cup (live ticker >>>).
During the only downhill training on Friday, the ÖSV runners found it difficult to cope on the soft ground. Tamara Tippler was classified as the best Austrian in 13th place.
Hütter as the first Austrian at the start
In the downhill on Saturday, Tippler starts the race from 23rd place. The first Austrian is Cornelia Hütter with start number seven. Mirjam Puchner follows with number eight.
Then Nina Ortlieb (15), Stephanie Venier (16), Ramona Siebenhofer (19), Tamara Tippler (23) and Ariane Rädler (25) can prove themselves. The last two ÖSV skiers are Christina Ager with start number 27 and Nadine Fest with number 32.
Laura Pirovano was the first to squeeze out of the starting gate on Saturday. The Italian is followed by two Norwegians (3), Ragnhild Mowinckel (2) and Kajsa Vickhoff Lie. The fastest in training, Ilka Stuhec, starts in 13th place.
A total of 49 runners contest the race.
