Bethesda Studio has changed one of the locations in the game Starfield, removing portraits of Soviet cosmonauts Yuri Gagarin and Valentina Tereshkova from it. Users of the DTF portal drew attention to this.
Starfield is positioned as “down to earth fiction”, so the developers add references to real history to it. Some of these were portraits of the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin, the first woman in space, Valentina Tereshkova, and a model of the Vostok-1 spacecraft, placed in the meeting room.
During the Starfield Direct presentation, the developers showed this location once more, but this time there were no portraits of astronauts, and the model was moved down. The developers did not comment on the situation. Perhaps Gagarin and Tereshkova were completely cut out of the game, or perhaps their images were rearranged to another place.
Starfield is slated for release on September 6, 2023. The game will be available on PC and Xbox Series X/S, as well as through an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Previously, the developers showed the gameplay and shared other details regarding the game.
