Not content with being a hit in the ranking of best-selling games, Starfield also allows Microsoft to boost Xbox Series sales. A result which rewards the efforts of Xbox and Bethesda following years of work and a massive marketing campaign.

Presented as the new standard-bearer for Xbox, Starfield carried a heavy burden on its shoulders and had to show players that the company was capable of competing with the solo productions found among the competition. However, in the latter region, Bethesda’s title helps increase sales of Xbox Series X and S by 136%, compared to an increase of 24% for the PS5 and 18% for the Switch. The PS5 remains the best-selling console across Europe. Regardless, this remains a good performance for Starfield, which does not become Xbox’s best start for all that. In its first month of launch, Starfield remains behind Forza Horizon 5 by 13%. You don’t dethrone the king that easily.
