Starfield Receives ESRB Adult Rating

On September 6, we have a date with Bethesda Game Studios and its first new IP in 25 years. After the successes of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, Skyrim and Oblivion, Todd Howard has something very big in store for us with Starfield. One of the titles that promises to mark 2023 and even Xbox, since it is a Microsoft exclusive.

We’ll have to wait a little over a month to find out more about the title during the Starfield Direct, which will take place right after the Xbox Games Showcase (Microsoft’s conference at this year’s non-E3), but until then , we learn that the title has already been rated M (Mature) by the US ESRB.

Starfield: violence, blood and drugs

It’s not that Starfield is the game of forbidden desires, but it’s a clear indication that they’re not going to restrict themselves in the way they tell the stories, nor will it be a sweet title for all audiences, with raw storylines, tough decisions and all that kind of realism we love.

Of course, this is no different from what Bethesda is used to with the Fallout series, famous for its moral dilemmas or the freedom given to the player to create quite special situations that we will remember for a long time. Starfield is definitely a game to look forward to.
