Starfield and Redfall postponed

We will have to wait even longer before getting our hands on Starfield and on Redfall. In a press release published on May 12 on Twitter, Bethesda has indicated that they are pushing the release of these two games to early 2023.. A justified postponement to allow the teams at Bethesda Games Studio (for Starfield) and Arkane Austin (for Redfall) to refine their own games:

We’ve made the decision to push the release of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023. The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to make sure that you receive the best possible versions of these titles.

Soon gameplay?

Furthermore, Bethesda clarifies that it “can’t wait to share his first big gameplay videos for Redfall and Starfield soon“. Despite this sad news of the postponement, it is therefore not excluded to see these titles in action soon. Two weeks ago, Xbox announced that it was organizing an event with Bethesda to talk regarding the games coming to its ecosystem. An event that will take place next Sunday, June 12 on a date that echoes E3even if the 2022 edition of the biggest meeting of the year has been canceled.

As a reminder, Starfield is a Bethesda Game Studios creation and is considered by the project’s executive producer Todd Howard as a skyrim in space. It is a single player RPG, playable in first person or third person, taking place in the 2330s. The player joins the organization Constellation and is one of the last human explorers of the galaxy. Shown during E3 2021, Redfall is less talkative. We know that it is developed by Arkane Austin (Prey), that it is an open world FPS with solo and coop.
