This Saturday brought the eighth night of the ever-popular StarDance competition, and viewership once again soared, never dipping below a million viewers. The weakest part, of course, was the previous non-competitive part, although even it garnered over 1.3 million viewers. Following the charity edition, which the show’s viewers already know all about, all that remains is expressing gratitude. Amidst the national mood, which often leans towards pessimism, the viewers’ generous donations to the Umbrella Center totaling tens of millions of crowns demonstrate that things might not be as bad as many think.

This time the dances were hard – with elimination looming. Taking center stage first were the quickstep, slowfox, and cha-cha, followed by contemporary dance in the evening’s second half. Marta Dancingerová and Martin Prágr, Patrik Hartl alongside Tereza Prucková, Martina Ptáčková with Dominik Vodička, Oskar Hes paired with Kateřina Bartuněk Hrstková, and finally, Elsie singer Lucie Vondráčková danced with Lukáš Bartunek. Her father, musical legend Jiří Vondráček graced the event with his tornados, having come to show his support. This weekend, VGTV viewers loved seeing him on TV after a really long time, just like Jaroslav Uhlíř, known for his work with Svěrák.

Setting the Bar Even Higher

It’s clear that the StarDance production continuously levels up. Within just a few months, actresses, singers, writers and even wrestlers were molded into something resembling masters on the stage. Hark back to the early days when Ptáčková struggled. Now she’s a delight to watch! Vondráčková, Hes and Dancingerová, those three always had The Muse on their side, you can tell.

We chose Oskar Hes as our winner early on. With parents like his, it was practically a given. The young man didn’t disappoint on November 30th either. Remember, December 7th marks the semi-finals, culminating in the grand finale, where the winning couple of the 13th season will be crowned.

A Conversation Takes an Unexpected Turn

This Saturday, fatigue was palpable in every performance, particularly during Marta Dancingerová’s slowfox, where she fumbled a few steps at the start before pulling herself together. Sadly, it wasn’t enough.

Patrik Hartl waltzed through the night with a smile permanently fixed, claiming he inherited his sensitivity from his mother. While this challenge makes him a man, revealing his deeper vulnerabilities, he admits it’s both rewarding and terrifying. Martina Ptáčková, the wrestler,
