It was more special that the female employees of Star celebrated the International Day for Women’s Rights, last Wednesday. They tended to social work in each category, and each of the 13 Star workplaces throughout the island had their own celebration. Children and women from various organizations, schools, hospitals, etc., benefited from the help of more than a hundred Star women. According to the need, they distributed it.
In Nosy Be, for example, sewing machines and drinks were distributed to the sewing women. The Sainte Cathérien Labouré center in Ihosy received nutritional supplements and water for the children being educated, while the children in the Verezambola center in Antsirabe received “school kits”. Those in Antananarivo chose the department for treating children in the Befelatanana hospital. They shared story books and water. These are just a few examples, depending on how Star’s female employees feel regarding the responsibilities that await them, wherever they are.
