Star Wars The Old Republic adds a fan-requested feature that took 10 years to create

Star Wars The Old Republic in the new update (7.0.2) introduced a feature that fans have been asking for since its release: the ability to change the appearance of weapons.

Recall that in 2015, with the advent of the Rise of the Emperor update, in Star Wars The Old Republic it became possible to change the appearance of the characters’ clothes, but the weapon visual was not allowed. Since then, the only way to decide what weapons look like has been to use mods, but this feature is now available natively and officially.

The Star Wars The Old Republic update allows you to select a weapon from your inventory and place it in a special slot so that the appearance, sound and visual effects of this weapon will replace the one you have. In this way, you can always use the strongest weapon, but at the same time keep the appearance of a weaker, but more aesthetic weapon.

The process requires in-game credits, but we are confident that many historical Star Wars The Old Republic players will be able to handle this without any problems. The update also includes a number of fixes and bug fixes. By this link you can see the full list of changes and fixes
