Yesterday, Disney finally decided to show its Obi-Wan Kenobi series in a little more detail: the very first trailer was finally approached on the web by a whole passionate crowd. Here it is.

It was highly anticipated, a bit like the Disney Plus series itself : the very first Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer was released last night on YouTube, spreading like wildfire across the net. It must be said that this is a real event: years after Episode III, Ewan McGregor puts on his tunic again to embody the famous Jedi again through an unpublished story, set after the fall of the Republic.
Hidden in the depths of the galaxy, our dear Obi-Wan Kenobi will have to watch over a certain Luke Skywalker, sheltered on Tatooine, but also getting away with Inquisitor Reva… as well as the deeply evil-looking Grand Inquisitor. A program that does not look easy.
The clash of forces
If Obi-Wan Kenobi is so expected, it’s not only because it allows an entire story about a very popular character, but also because it will fill a good part of the gap between Episode III and Episode IV, almost acting as a new Star Wars in its own right. A truly decisive step in the history of the saga, in which Uncle Owen (Joel Edgerton) will also play an important role.
We can also expect the return of Darth Vader: the opportunity for Hayden Christensen to slip into the skin again in the character of a bruised and enraged Anakin Skywalker, worsening his relationship with his former master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Unfortunately, the glaucous breath of our Sith Lord is not to be declared in the trailer above, but you should already have some chills, especially since certain musical notes are making a comeback.
The first episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi is scheduled for May 25, 2022 exclusively on Disney Plus. This is the third Star Wars series to air on the platform after The Mandalorian (two seasons) and The Book of Bobba Fett.
