“Star Académie”: Endangerments amid controversy

Lara Fabian announced, in the daily newspaper “Star Académie”, the names of the three Academicians in danger this week. Camélia, Sarah-Maude and Marily will have to put all the chances on their side to keep their place at the Academy.

The only guy in the evaluation, Édouard Lagacé received only good comments following his emotional interpretation of “Tonight love is in your eyes”, accompanied by his guitar. This unanimity seems to have destabilized him a little. The three girls, on the other hand, received an endangerment, despite relatively positive comments.

Marily Dorion chose to sing “Lighthouse”, by Patrick Watson, in front of the teachers, but she did not completely convince Guylaine Tremblay. “I love your voice, said the interpretation teacher. But for once, I saw that you were looking for your place.

Gregory Charles also told her that her challenge now was to find the same comfort she can have when she is in her bubble, by getting people on board with her.

The forgetting of the words of the song “A beautiful story”, by Michel Fugain, in evaluation led Sarah-Maude Desgagné to her endangerment.

“These are things that happen, reassured Lara Fabian. It’s part of our humanity to be fallible. But I would also like to point out the incredible accuracy with which you sang.

Gregory also noted that the Academician seems to take more and more pleasure in exploring the different registers of her voice, which indicates a great improvement since her arrival at the Academy.

Finally, Camélia Zaki set her sights on “If I Die Young”, by The Band Perry, but her understanding of the text of the song was not perfect according to the director.

“I’m happy because it’s a perfect interpretation to put your finger on everything we need to correct during the week,” exclaimed Gregory Charles, who noted several points to work with her.

If the Academicians still seem in shock at the departure of Audrey-Louise last Sunday, public anger continues to be heard on social networks. Many of them saw the singer win in the final, her talent being undeniable. Gregory Charles also returned to this event in the daily. “You will all leave here, one after the other, and there will be just two left, who will also leave when the show is over, he explained to the Academicians. The fact that Audrey-Louise is gone is not a denial of what she can do. Everyone knows what she is capable of. We are here to move forward.”

The public irritation actually started as early as the endangerments last week. The question that keeps coming up is why the teachers chose to endanger these three artists (Eloi, Audrey-Louise and Krystel) at this time of the season, knowing that other Academicians with less potential were protected.

More than the contestation of the choice of teachers between the two girls, at the end of the Variety, many people would like more transparency on the choice of the endangerments of the last week.

A petition displaying public discontent and calling for Audrey-Louise’s return to the show reached nearly 10,000 signatories on Tuesday night. A figure all in all quite low compared to the average ratings of more than 1.4 million viewers.

The production of “Star Académie” did not wish to speak on this subject.
