Stanek leaves board of plastics group Greiner

He wants to take on a new professional challenge, it was said in a press release on Wednesday. Stanek worked for Greiner for eight years, six of which as managing director of the Greiner Packaging division and two years as a member of the board.

Stanek has made a major contribution to the “extraordinary development” in recent years, “particularly as CEO of Greiner Packaging for many years,” said Supervisory Board Chairman Dominik Greiner Stanek, who regretted his departure from the company. Stanek said, “after more than eight intensive years, I am also convinced that the time has come for new impulses.” The search for a successor has already begun.

Long-time CEO Axel Kühner left the company a year ago and was succeeded by Saori Dubourg at the beginning of the year. In 2023, the company had to accept a decline in sales of 9.1 percent to 2.1 billion euros. Greiner has 118 locations in 33 countries and employs 10,544 people worldwide.
