The last day of the summer transfer window is busy on the side of Sclessin where various files are being finalized (Fossey and Zinckernagel). Eager to strengthen its midfield (and perhaps to anticipate an upcoming departure of Selim Amallah who might leave the club freely in January), Standard are, according to English sources, in discussions with Brighton for the loan of the Colombian international 23-year-old Steven Alzate.
The latter should have joined West Bromwich Albion but the transfer did not take place because the papers were not sent in time. This possible loan might be accompanied by a purchase option but at the time of writing these lines, there is no agreement at all.
Still in the direction of arrivals, the principality club would also have made a loan offer, without an option to buy, for the Guinean axial midfielder, Aguibou Camara, also active at Olympiacos.
