The Shoegaze / Psych Rock Project Stahv is more or less the child of Solon Arye Rosenscheinwho also likes to share his love for New Wave and Goth Rock of the 1980s live on stage.

He does this as support for post punk and dark wave bands like Actors, Tunic, Treaters and many more. His new work Simple Mercies will be released on CD and digitally and is a small collection of songs that have been able to mature in private over the past few years.

Stahv finds an extremely delicate balance between a beautiful blissful melody and a certain psychedelic whimsy on all six songs. The released as a single P vs. P benefits from an unbelievable calm and 1980s-heavy guitar riffs, like you HERE can see in a video.

1980s goth rock with few barbs

stood in public rose shine even less so in the past. Rather, he has made musical contributions to television series in the background or with greats of the alternative rock scene such as Josie Cotton, Jennifer Finch or Gabby Moreno wrote songs, which explains the high degree of maturity and his stylistic stability.

Because yes, it’s professionally produced Simple Mercies natural and doesn’t reveal any weaknesses in the songwriting. The hooks are catchy, no question. Nevertheless, the disc hangs for a rather short time. Despite the brevity, the songs ripple and thus have their problems maintaining the generated tension. The EP is still very well suited for the short goth rock shot.

Conclusion
The new EP is short and sweet Stahv devices. With Simple Mercies The Goth / Psych Rock Olympus isn’t climbed, but the songwriting and the touched moods know how to please and result in a solid Psych Pop disc.
