ST-Trond vs Francs Borains: Match Highlights and Goals

ST-Trond – Francs Borains 3-0

Quite a few changes in the eleven compared to the last championship match last Saturday in Waasland, since Arnauld Mercier made no less than four. Thus, Obissa, Healy and Guirassy did not even appear on the sheet, while Saussez was relegated to the bench, Francotte, Chaabi, Chevalier and Djoco being established.

The Trudonnaires showed themselves to be the first dangerous with a shot from Ananou that Djoco repelled. Well organized, and displaying a good state of mind, the Borains did better than defend and responded through Tainmont, whose good delivery forced Coppens to perform a tap to deflect for a corner. Both teams conceded very few chances to the opponent, and it was with a goalless score reflecting the appearance of the first period that they returned to the locker room.

After the break, the Limburgers took the game into their own hands, but were unable to find the solution in the annoying system. On a counter, Tainmont opened masterfully for Lavie who was countered by a good exit from Coppens. A few moments later, Djoco flew to avoid the opener with a beautiful strike from Barnes. At the end of the match, Tainmont served Chevalier who, pressed by his opponent, collapsed in the rectangle but the referee did not flinch. On the next action, Djoco offered extra time, thanks to an exceptional foot reflex in front of Okazaki.

During these, the Canaries quickly found the fault, Ogawa crossed perfectly behind the defense towards Zahiroleslam who punctuated without difficulty. Ten minutes from time, Okazaki and Steuckers from the penalty spot ensured his team qualified, but the Greens really have nothing to be ashamed of with their performance.
