At around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday night, a police patrol stopped the boy from Linz for the first time in a parking lot in St. Martin im Mühlkreis: One of his passengers, a 19-year-old from Linz, tried to slip an unused joint when the officers approached to dispose of in the car. Because the driver showed signs of possible impairment, they ordered a drug test, which actually came back positive for THC. The police doctor confirmed the results of a subsequent examination and classified the boy as unfit to drive. His driver’s license, which he had only had since November 29th, was confiscated and he was reported to BH Rohrbach.
But none of this stopped the 19-year-old from getting behind the wheel of a car once more: In the morning he was caught once more – this time in the Linz city area, high once more and now without a driver’s license. He refused an examination, which has now earned him another report.
