CHENNAI: India’s first SSLV-DA1 short-range satellite launch vehicle suffered a technical glitch following its launch. Although the initial stages of the launch were successful, the connection was eventually lost. ISRO said on Twitter that the signal is not being received from the satellites. ISRO informed that the matter is being investigated.
The first three phases of the launch were perfect. Attempts to re-establish contact with the satellite are ongoing.
SSLV-D1/EOS-02 Mission: Maiden flight of SSLV is completed. All stages performed as expected. Data loss is observed during the terminal stage. It is being analysed. Will be updated soon.

The first short-range satellite launch rocket was built following the PSLV and GSLV missions. These are used to launch satellites into low Earth orbit. It can place small satellites weighing between 10 and 500 kg into an orbit 500 km below Earth.
