Zakhar Prilepin denies rumors regarding his nomination for the Russian presidential elections in 2024

Zakhar Prilepin, co-chairman of the Just Russia – Patriots for Truth party, is going to participate in the presidential elections in 2024. This is reported by the sources of Vedomosti.
The interlocutor of the newspaper in the party said that Zakhar Prilepin wants to show the presidential administration that he can take part in the presidential elections. Therefore, the co-chairman of A Just Russia is building a headquarters structure separate from the party and is active in the regions, he added.
According to another source in the party, Prilepin’s desire to run for president seems quite logical. He stressed that the chairman of the “Fair Russia” Sergei Mironov was not nominated in the previous elections, as “he cannot fight once morest the first person.” However, the interlocutor notes, in the presidential administration so far “not in the best way” perceive the initiative of Prilepin.
