Sri Lanka’s cenbank holds rates as expected amid slowing inflation

The rate on the standing loan facility was maintained at 15.50% while the rate on the standing deposit facility remained unchanged at 14.50%.

“The Board is of the view that the current monetary policy stance is necessary to contain underlying demand pressures in the economy,” the central banks said in a statement.
