Netflix’s Korean drama ‘Squid Game’ won three awards at the American Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

At the SAG Awards held at the Barker Hanger Event Hall in Santa Monica, Los Angeles County, USA on the 27th local time, Lee Jung-jae won the Best Actor Award for ‘Squid Game’ and Jeong Ho-yeon won the Best Actress Award, respectively.

‘Squid Game’ was also selected for the TV drama stunt ensemble award announced before the awards ceremony.

However, the TV Drama Series Ensemble Award, which is the highest honor, went to ‘Succession’, and the Squid Game was not awarded.

It is the first time for a Korean actor to win the SAG Best Actor Award for acting in a TV drama, and it is also the first time for a non-English-speaking actor to receive an acting award from the American Actors Guild.

Earlier, the movie ‘Parasite’ won the ensemble award given to all actors at the SAG Awards, and Yoon Yeo-jeong of ‘Minari’ won the Best Supporting Actress Award.
