On the evening of February 5, thousands of people suffocated to burn incense and collect ashes for good luck at Ba Thien Hau Pagoda (Binh Duong).

Many people do not choose to pick up the ashes but try to come forward to stick an incense stick to pray for luck and fortune.

The ceremony to worship Ba is conducted at midnight on January 14 to the morning of January 15. Most of the pilgrims are Vietnamese of Chinese origin from all over the world. During these two days, there are many attractive performances imbued with folklore and close to the people such as the appearance of many legendary characters, the parade of floats, gongs, drums, flags, lions and dragons.

Compared to the two years affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in 2021 and 2022, this year the number of visitors to attend festivals, spring trips and pray for luck at Ba Thien Hau Pagoda has increased once more. It is estimated that from New Year’s Eve to the evening of January 31 (ie the 10th of the Lunar New Year), more than 100,000 visitors come to visit and ask for her blessings.
