Today, SQUARE ENIX revealed new gameplay details for Story Mode featuring Dai, Popp, Maam, and Hyunckel in the upcoming action-RPG Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai !
In Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Daiplayers will relive parts of the anime DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Daiup to the Battle of Rockfiend Fortress, and will be able to explore the story beyond the overall gameplay.
In story modeplayers will take part in thrilling battles, but they will also follow the story of The Adventure of Dai over snapshots and cinematics reproducing famous sequences from the anime.
The further the story goesand the more intense the fights once morest the evil army will become.
Story mode (easy), meanwhile, features a lower difficulty level that will allow players to experience an easier and more story-driven adventure. They will be able to improve each of the four heroes thanks to the power of the memories they have forged in order to fight the most difficult battles once morest the army of evil!
A unique character upgrade system: Memories
Memories feature famous footage from the anime DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai, while training Avan’s disciples to triumph in the difficult battles ahead! You will be able to get souvenirs by progressing in the story mode, and by completing the shrine. Characters equipped with Memories will have their abilities upgraded in various ways, and they will be able to use more of them simultaneously as they level up. Souvenirs are rated 1 to 3 stars; those with the most stars being the most powerful. Some 3-star memories also have additional special effects.
Here are some keepsakes that will appear in-game, and the improvements they bring to characters:

The scene where Popp answers Crocodine’s question at Romos Castle. This keepsake improves magic stats.
The thirst for victory
Flazzard’s words sum up his ultimate goal well: to triumph, whatever the cost. This memory mainly strengthens physical attacks.
Skyslash (Dai)
This scene shows Dai using the arcana of the Avant school’s sword “Slash-heaven”. This memory boosts Skyslash’s ability and power damage.
To death justice
This scene shows Hyunckel recounting how he lost hope in justice and let hatred invade his heart. This next level keepsake boosts HP and defense.
