The SPVQ arrested five young men for vehicle theft in the Charlesbourg area very early Tuesday morning.

The five suspects are all aged between 18 and 21. They were on rue du Prince-Albert when they were caught in the act by the Quebec police.

In fact, it was a resident of the area who contacted the authorities when he saw them being dropped off in the neighborhood. The latter then allegedly smashed the window of an SUV to take it.

“They are currently detained and will have to be met by investigators,” indicates Pierre-Olivier Lévesque, spokesperson for the police force.

The five individuals, who have similar records, might face charges of vehicle theft and receiving stolen property.
