Christophe Depreter, secretary general of Upav (professional union of travel agencies), says: “Belgians need to travel. We see that they are giving up on restaurants or other activities. The travel budget remains important for them. They need to change their minds and take in the sun. In May , there are many more destinations that are open, more choices. I can’t say that the prices have gone down, but they have gone up less in May than in April when everyone was going on vacation: our friends Flemish, Dutch, French, etc.”
