„the clockworks“ are four young Irishmen named James McGregor (singer), Sean Connelly (guitar), Damian Greaney (drums) and Tom Freeman (bass), who all met while studying at Nui Galway. In 2019, Sean Connelly wrote to music business expert “Alan McGee” on Instagram that his band “The Clockworks” were a punk rock version of the band “The Streets”. This sentence and a demo were ultimately decisive for McGee to see the group live in the rehearsal room in Galway. He was so enthusiastic that he signed the band to his newly founded label “Creation23”.

In the same year the group moved to London to concentrate on their music career in the best surroundings.
