It all started in 1993 in Montreal, Canada: Pierre Bouvier, Chuck Comeau, Philippe Jolicoeur and Adrian White founded the band “Reset”, gained a bit of fame and released the album “No Worries” in 1997. Comeau then joined the band “Reset “, met Jeff Stinco and Sebastien Lefebvre a little later and founded the band with them in 1999 “simple plan“ – some time later, Bouvier and Desrosiers (who previously also played in “reset”) also switched from “reset” to “simple plan”. From this point on, Simple Plan consisted of Chuck Comeau, Pierre Bouvier, Jeff Stinco, Sebastien Lefebvre and David Desrosiers.
In 2002 her first album “no pads, no helmets … just balls” – with great success! Outsized sales figures and MTV awards were the result, and the single “Perfect” stayed in the charts for 20 weeks. In 2004 simple plan released their second album “still not getting any“And the success continued to grow. What became clear at this time: the band also repeatedly supported social, charitable projects.
In 2008 the third, self-titled album “simple plan“, accompanied by a world tour. The fourth album “get your heart on„, 2013 the ep „get your heart on – the second coming“ and in 2016 the fifth album “taking one for the team„.
David Desrosiers took several breaks following the fifth album, and in 2020 he finally left the band because he was accused of sexual harassment. The sixth album was finally released in 2022.harder than it looks(for the first time in a four-piece line-up), which is now also the reason for an extensive world tour. On January 30th, 2024, Simple Plan will be a guest at the sold-out Gasometer and anyone who has a ticket can look forward to an evening full of hits!
