spotlight | panic! at the disco

it was 2004 when ryan ross and spencer smith from las vegas decided to form a band. they brought in two more friends, namely brent wilson and brendon urie, and were initially on the road as a blink182 cover band. but they also wrote their own songs, called themselves “panic! at the disco“ and were then also discovered via a guest book entry on the website of pete wentz (fall out boy). the record deal came at the end of 2004, the first album “a fever you can’t sweat outIn 2005 and early 2006 they released their first single,i write sins not tragedies‘ and landed a worldwide hit.

In 2008 the second album “pretty. odd‘ and then a major line-up change within the band. equipped with new band members, albums were once more diligently produced: “vices & virtues‘ in 2011 and ‘too weird to live, too rare to die“ in 2013. then there was turbulence once more: founding member spencer smith finally left the band, brendon urie wrote “panic! at the disco” henceforth as a solo project.

And of course, other albums followed: “death of a bachelor“ (2016), „pray for the wicked’ (2018) and ‘long live the vengeance(2022). with the last album brendon urie aka “panic! at the disco” is not only on tour at the moment, he is also saying goodbye to show business. due to family growth he ends the existence of “panic! at the disco”. well then – get a ticket quickly and be there at the last meeting with an extraordinary alternative-emo-pop-punk-showman – it will be danceable and wonderful!
