Kanye West released a new album at the beginning of February and is now getting in trouble for it.
-
The rapper is said to have included music from other artists in several songs without permission.

Spotify now had to block a song.
Spotify has blocked the song “GOOD (DON’T DIE)”. The track is still listed on the new album by scandal rapper Kanye West (46), “Vultures 1”, but it can no longer be played. The executors of singer Donna Summer, who died in 2012, have complained that Kanye included her voice.
The rapper had asked if he might sample the classic “I Feel Love”, but the estate administrators refused. Kanye is then said to have swapped words, had someone else sing the song or used artificial intelligence to still incorporate Donna Summer’s hit into “GOOD (DON’T DIE)”.
Especially in hip-hop, music patterns are often edited and reused by other artists. However, the prerequisite is the consent of the artist and the record company.
Ozzy Osbourne (75) recently railed once morest Kanye West on the X platform. The British cult rocker accuses the US rapper of using parts of his music on his new album without his consent.
Ozzy Osbourne: Kanye West “caused a lot of people suffering”
Kanye had asked him in advance for permission to use an excerpt from the live performance of the song “Iron Man” by his band Black Sabbath from 1983. The rapper wanted to use the clip without singing. But the 75-year-old refused. The reason: “Because he is an anti-Semite and has caused untold suffering to many people.”
Nevertheless, Kanye played the excerpt without permission at a party for his new album, writes Ozzy. His post ends with the clear words: “I don’t want to have anything to do with this man.”
A lot of criticism following anti-Semitic allegations
Kanye West has come under fire in recent years following making anti-Semitic comments on social media and in several interviews. In the show of the right-wing extremist US radio maker Alex Jones (49), the rapper declared in December 2022: “I also love Nazis” and “I like Hitler,” Jews mightn’t forbid him from doing that. In the meantime, Elon Musk (52) blocked him from X (formerly Twitter).
Many of his advertising partners also ended their collaboration with Kanye. For example, the German sporting goods manufacturer Adidas ended a cooperation with the rapper, who also goes by Ye, and announced in a statement in October 2022: “Adidas does not tolerate anti-Semitism or any other type of hate speech. Ye’s recent statements and actions are unacceptable, hateful and dangerous and violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.” Kanye had previously designed shoes and clothing for Adidas under the “Yeezy” brand.
