O Spotify and the TikTok launched today new integrations that make it even easier to share and discover music across platforms, allowing users to publish content directly from streaming on the social network.

The “Share on TikTok” function allows you to publish songs, playlists and other audios in the Feed, in Stories or DMs, integrating music, podcasts and audiobooks via Spotify’s green screen or photo mode, with clickable links that direct to the service.

Another new feature is that, through Spotify, users can now save songs from Instagram to the “Liked Songs” playlist with just one tap. Just click on the song playing on Instagram and it is automatically added to Spotify.

This integration with Instagram adds to other features already available in Meta apps and other networks, such as Snapchat and X (formerly Twitter), which facilitates the transition between music streaming and social networks.

It is worth remembering that, with the arrival of iOS 18.1o Apple Music started allowing music sharing on TikTok. In addition, it has also been possible to save songs directly from the platform on Maçã streaming since last year.

To the TechCrunchthe social network’s head of music business, Ole Obermannsaid the feature helps people discover new music and promotes artists, creating a partnership with streaming services rather than competing with them.

Since its launch, the “Add to Music App” feature has been responsible for hundreds of millions of saved songs and billions of streams on partner streaming services. “Share on TikTok” completes the user experience and will be a great way to promote artists and tracks to the community.

Both features are being gradually released and will soon be available to all users. To take advantage of the new features, it is worth checking whether both Spotify and TikTok are updated in the App Store.
