During the semester break from February 13th to 17th, the Klagenfurt Sport department will once once more host the popular winter sports taster session. This week interested children can try 37 different sports on 81 dates and possibly lay the foundation for a lifetime of joy.
KLAGENFURT. Children from the age of four weeks, such as with baby yoga meets baby massage, up to 16 years of age can awaken their enthusiasm for sports during the semester break. There are around 1400 course places in total. The highlights of the sports taster include: beach volleyball, various martial arts, baby yoga, movement dwarfs, dance: acrobatics, figure skating, ice hockey, floorball, heroes of tomorrow, climbing, ski races, ski jumping, cross-country skiing, winter hikes in the old town, yoga in the museum and 200 free tickets for the Carinthian Derby (registration required). The department head of the city of Klagenfurt Mario Polak says regarding the sport taster session: “The sport taster session is a well-known and long-standing event in the city of Klagenfurt, which is becoming all the more important in times of decreasing physical activity among our young people. It is important to get to know many different sports, because only so every child who is trying out sports can make the right choice for themselves and enjoy exercise. I hope that our range of sports will inspire many children and their parents”.
