MANCHESTER United wants to bring in Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim as their new coach. The English Premier League club is ready to pay the coach’s release clause of 10 million euros.
The Red Devils want to bring in Amorim as a replacement for Erik ten Hag, who was fired on Monday (28/10).
“Manchester United have expressed their interest in bringing in Ruben Amorim and have said they are prepared to pay a release clause of 10 million euros,” Sporting said in a statement to Portugal’s financial authorities.

The 39-year-old coach has won two Portuguese League titles with Sporting, including their first title in 19 years, since joining in 2020.
Manchester United refused to confirm rumors of their interest in Amorim.
Erik ten Hag was fired after Manchester United lost 2-1 to West Ham United which made the Red Devils drop to 14th in the English Premier League standings after nine matches.

The Red Devils are also ranked 21st out of 36 clubs in the Europa League after drawing all three matches played.
Assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy has been appointed as interim coach and will lead Manchester United in the League Cup match against Leicester City, Thursday (31/10) early morning WIB.
