As part of the “Sport for development in Africa” program, a set of sports equipment consisting of 10 bibs, 14 volleyballs, 10 handballs, 30 footballs, 30 basketballs, 112 boundary block, 30 Plot cones, 10 Jump Rope, 20 pumps, was offered to the Amadou Traoré higher institute of professional education (ISEP) in Diamniadio.
This large batch of sports equipment, which will be followed by the construction of a field, was offered by the German organization GIZ through its Sport for Development (S4D) program. The delivery of the equipment took place on January 11 in Diamniadio, in the presence of Mrs. Catherine Daraspe, Regional Coordinator of the said program and the MESRI representative.
The director of ISEP, Bossé Ndiaye Guèye, expressed her thanks to the said organization for this donation of material which will be used wisely,” she reassured. And continues: “We hope you will be satisfied knowing that your donation will help improve our work and achieve our goals. We are also delighted with the choice of the ISEP of Diamniadio as the beneficiary of this program and also appreciate the trip that you were willing to make and which demonstrates your attachment to our institute. It is an honor that has been done to us and that we fully appreciate,” added the director.
This regional project “Sport and Development in Africa” (ProSport), initiated by GIZ in 2014, helps promote sport as a tool contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in certain African countries,” clarified Madame Bossé Ndiaye Guèye who took the opportunity to request the materialization of several projects which fall within the framework of this cooperation between Germany and Senegal.
