Another fire broke out at the Xinfeng landfill in Xinfeng Township. The weather was hot on the 16th. The waste piled up in the Xinfeng garbage dump spontaneously ignited at 6:30 pm. The smoke went straight up into the sky, and it might be seen from Hsinchu City. The windows were closed.
The Hsinchu County Fire Department dispatched 2 vehicles and 4 people from the Xinfeng Team to the scene for rescue. The report reported that the burning area was regarding 300 square meters, and the smoke was too large to send additional personnel and vehicles for support. Xingong detachment, a total of 10 vehicles with 24 people went to rescue.
