Spokesperson of the Ministers: The government’s measures have been reflected on the ground and prices are gradually declining

The ambassador said Nader Saad A spokesman for the Council of Ministers, that the government is very interested in the price file and that there is no rational government in the whole world that can move without measuring public opinion and measuring the pulse of the street so that it can formulate mechanisms and policies and respond to people, continuing: The government’s actions were reflected on the ground and prices are gradually declining.

In a telephone interview during the “A Final Word” program presented by the media presenter, Mays Al-Hadidi, on the ON screen, he confirmed that people’s complaints about price hikes were present on the cabinet meeting table over the past period, and the government took a number of measures that have already begun to bear fruit on the ground.

He pointed out that the government’s measures taken in the previous days began to be reflected on the ground, as commodity prices began to gradually decrease this week compared to last week, at slight rates, but it is an important development.

He continued, “Even if the decline is slight, it is a good indicator, especially since the crisis of Russia and Ukraine has not ended and is still present, and this is good and indicates the government’s success in creating a gradual balance with the tools and mechanisms in its hand, and at the forefront of those tools was an increase in the supply side, and if it were not for the abundance of strategic goods The government would not have been able to bring about this decline, and prices would have remained at their rates and upward curve.”

In response to Al-Hadidi’s question about the criteria for measuring the price decline with which it was measured, especially that the street is still complaining, he said: “This depends on the place of comparison. In it, it may be somewhat distinct from its counterparts, “stressing that if people are compared to different supply outlets and outlets, prices are good and confirm that the price rise curve has stopped.”

He continued: Last week, prices rose on a daily basis, and now we are witnessing stability, and even some commodities have begun to decline, according to monitoring reports on the ground in the governorates and chambers of commerce.

And he sent a message to the citizens: The citizen will see the price drop over time, and he has to compare prices not with the pre-crisis rates, but with the highest point in the upward rates of prices last week.

And he continued in his message to the citizens: If you want to buy things at pre-crisis prices, they are available in all outlets of the Ministry of Supply, Agriculture, Safety and National Service, and the We Are One initiative.
