With the ladies and gentlemen of SmackDown already boarding a plane for their appearance on Clash at the Castle in Wales next Saturday, September 3rd, next week’s SmackDown was taped as early as this week. Here are the results known so far.
1. Match
Singles Match
Karrion Kross won against Drew Gulak.
Ronda Rousey came to the ring and urged Adam Pearce to come out to discuss her suspension. Pearce replied that she was no longer suspended as she had paid her fine and her arrest was unfounded. So it will be reinstated immediately. He added that Rousey would have been fired if it were up to him because she was “the biggest bitch he’s ever met.” Rousey took him an armbar as a “reward.”
2. Match
Tag Team Match
Hit Row (Ashante Adonis & Top Dolla) beat Maximum Male Models (ma.ce & man.soor).
After the match, Humberto & Angel arrived and helped the models beat up Hit Row. The Street Profits eventually made the safe.
Happy Corbin came to the ring with a mic and insulted Detroit a bit before issuing an open challenge. This was answered by Shinsuke Nakamura.
3. Match
Singles Match
Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Happy Corbin.
4. Match
Singles Match
Butch won against Ludwig Kaiser.
After the match, Sheamus and Gunther stared down again. Kaiser eventually took Gunter backstage, ending the segment.
5. Match
Viking Rules Tag Team Match
Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) beat The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) after Kofi Kingston was promoted through several tables.
The Usos and Sami Zayn hosted the celebration of the two-year anniversary of Roman Reigns’ reign. Reigns came out, but Drew McIntyre immediately offered his congratulations and hit the “Tribal Chief” with a claymore kick. The Scot then also beat up Usos and Zayn, bringing the show to an end.
