While Alexandra Lamy has just gone behind the camera with “Touchées”, she is back tonight on the front page of a romantic comedy.
Known for her role as Chouchou in “A guy, a girl”, Alexandra Lamy seems to flourish in the comic register. The former companion of Jean Dujardin has been able to develop in this area, as can be seen by taking a look at his filmography. One of these many examples also appears on the front page, with “L’embarrass du chose”, directed by Éric Stage material. The actress plays Juliette, a forty-year-old who has never been able to make a decision for herself in her life. If the feature film has a nice cast (in addition to the names mentioned above, we can add Anne MarivinSabrina OuazaniLionel Astier or even jerome Commander), Alexandra Lamy is indeed the heart of the film. If we set aside a few exceptions such as “Ricky” or “Nos patriotes”, we can thus see that “The embarrassment of choice” extends the comic vein in which Alexandra Lamy knew how to flourish: “ Chamboultout ”“The sense of family”, “Everybody stand up”, …
A drama director
However, the passage from the actress to the director takes place in a marked turn in the drama. “Touchées” thus tackles the sensitive subject of domestic violence, following a woman who moves with her husband to escape a violent husband. Adaptation of Quentin’s graphic novel Zuttion also known for “The White Lady”this TV movie can count on the presence of Mélanie Doutey (recently showing the film “Inexorable”) and Claudia meeting in the casting but also on the investment of the director.
It is a subject that touches her very much, as she will testify on France 3: “When we were at the start of confinement, I don’t know why it was the first thing I thought of.” She will act by speaking out several times on social networks or by distributing reusable bags with the emergency numbers to contact.
