SPÖ chairwoman Pamela Rendi-Wagner wants to install a second federal director alongside Christian Deutsch if she remains party leader. “This is not a decision once morest Deutsch. But with regard to the National Council elections, the team must be strengthened,” she told the media. Rendi-Wagner did not reveal who should become the second federal manager. At the same time, the SPÖ leader emphasized that she “appreciated German very much”. This would have restructured the SPÖ finances and for this purpose dispensed with a company car and chauffeur as well as salary parts that German would have been entitled to as federal manager. Deutsch has been in this role since 2019.
