After Andres Babler’s speech, the first eleven candidates from the federal list introduced themselves to around 700 delegates and guests on stage:
Andreas Babler (born 1973): The SPÖ federal party chairman, SPÖ club chairman and SPÖ Federal Councilor from Lower Austria Andreas Babler will lead the federal list as the top candidate. His understanding of politics is characterized by encounters at eye level and respectful cooperation; with his heart and brain he will lead the country into a better future. “Making Austria better and fairer with heart and brain – that’s what my strong team of candidates for the National Council election stands for. “Together we will win the election and bring Austria forward once more,” said Babler.

If social democrats have the opportunity to make decisions, then they use this power for the people of this country,” said Bures.

In her political work, she advocates, among other things, environmental and climate protection – she vehemently demands that social justice and climate protection finally have to go hand in hand. An offensive is needed for a climate-friendly industry with good jobs in the future. The technology of tomorrow should finally be produced in Austria and not in China. “It’s regarding nothing less than ensuring that our children have an intact environment in the future and that access to nature is not only available to those with deep wallets,” says Herr.
