SPÖ boss Andreas Babler relativized his position on 100 km/h on Saturday. In June, Babeler had in parts of the SPÖ with his Approval of speed reduction on freeways make people sit up and take notice, but in return received some opposition from their own party – for example from Burgenland. In an interview with S1 Babler said on Saturday that he was not demanding a legal requirement for a speed limit of 100 – and never meant it that way. The SPÖ does not stand for a general legal reduction from Tempo 130 to 100.
