New Year’s Day comes to Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival

Mr. Tran Quoc Bao, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that his family has been present at Ba Den mountain resort since the afternoon of the 3rd lunar new year. According to Mr. Bao, what attracts visitors to Ba Den Mountain is not only the legend of the sacred Linh Son Thanh Mau, but also a large-scale spiritual space amidst the majestic mountain scenery.
The most typical is the Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue, the tallest bronze Buddha statue in Asia, located on the top of the mountain created by more than 170 tons of red bronze.
The cool weather, the intensity of the heat is lower than usual, which are also favorable conditions for tourists from all over the world to come to Ba Den Mountain. “In the morning of the 4th of the Lunar New Year, my family took a new cable car route from Ba Pagoda to the top of Ba Den Mountain,” said Mr. Bao.
According to the Management Board of Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area, from the 28th of the Lunar New Year to the 3rd of the Lunar New Year, more than 300,000 visitors came to visit Ba Den Mountain, an increase of 152% over the same period; entrance ticket revenue increased by more than 56%.
Particularly in the morning of January 25 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), tourists suddenly increased, from all the way to Ba Den mountain tourist area. Forces to ensure security, order and traffic safety inside and outside Ba Den mountain tourist area must make efforts to regulate traffic and relieve local congestion.

Ba Den mountain tourist area has organized the flow of visitors from outside the gate, regulating the number of visitors coming to the cable car station to the top of the mountain. But due to the large number of tourists, many people cannot buy tickets to the cable car to the top of the mountain.
Ms. Thu Nga from Dong Nai said that almost every year her family also travels to Tay Ninh. “From 6 a.m. on the 4th day of the Lunar New Year, we were present at Ba Den mountain resort, but we couldn’t buy tickets until nearly noon because they were sold out,” Ms. Nga said.
The opening night of the Spring Festival of Nui Ba Den 2023 on the evening of the 4th of the Lunar New Year also witnessed a large number of visitors. People come here to witness with their own eyes the special festival program after 2 years of suspension due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Promote the development of spiritual tourism products and festivals
According to Mr. Tran Quoc Thinh – Director of Tay Ninh Tourism Promotion Information Center, after the Covid-19 epidemic, the number of tourists coming to Tay Ninh was higher than before the epidemic occurred. Up to now, Tay Ninh tourism has attracted more than 4.5 million visitors.

This year, Ba Den Mountain tourist area will be open day and night for visitors to admire the magical spiritual space, from sunset to shimmering night in the lights. The top of Ba Mountain will be open from 5 am to 22 pm, and the complex of Nui Ba pagodas will be open 22 hours a day.
The opening night of the Spring Festival will also mark the opening of Wow Tay Ninh Campaign initiated by Sun Group, and accompanying Tay Ninh province throughout 2023.
In fact, many years ago, Tay Ninh tourism, although diverse and rich, was still in potential form. Since 2020, when Sun Group invests and exploits the large-scale spiritual population on Ba Den Peak, spiritual culture has really become a typical tourism product attracting millions of tourists to the West. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh province, 90% of visitors to Tay Ninh travel mainly to Ba Den mountain tourist area and Tay Ninh Cao Dai temple.
Tay Ninh province considers this an advantage to continue promoting the development of spiritual and festival tourism products in the coming time.

Ba Den mountain tourist area is also linked by Tay Ninh province and develops tourism products with other tourist attractions in the province such as a special national relic of the Central Department of Southern Vietnam, Lo Go Xa Mat National Park .
The tour routes between Tay Ninh are also linked with tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast provinces; towards attracting more domestic and international tourists.
