Spielberg: Victory for Pecco Bagnaia, Bastianini slips up / MotoGP

Ducati ace Pecco Bagnaia snagged his second straight win in the MotoGP race at the Red Bull Ring. Behind him, World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) and Jack Miller (Ducati) also made it onto the podium.

The voices of the top 3:

Pecco Bagnaia: It was a long race. I tried to stay calm. The soft front tire was the wrong choice for me. At the beginning of the year I made too many mistakes, now it’s time to be smarter. I tried to keep my lap times consistent. In the last two laps I stayed calm because the front wheel collapsed in every corner. I’m really happy about this win, the team did a fantastic job.

Fabio Quartararo: It was one of my best races. But such races are very hard for me. I push to the limit every time, I feel like I’m qualifying every lap, it’s really difficult. The track is extremely strenuous, we simply lose too much time on the straight. But I’m still very happy with the result.

Jack Miller: The bike worked fantastically. At the start of the race I had a little more speed than Pecco and tried to overtake him. But when he saw that, he upped the ante and drove away from me. I’m happy to be on the podium after a difficult race.
