It was definitely the best-attended cup game in the history of teams from our regions. FC Wacker Innsbruck proved to be a formidable opponent, with more than 1,000 spectators and above all the Wacker fans making the game a real football festival.
If there were a ball possession statistic, everything would be said regarding the course of the game. Conclusion: A real football festival with a programmed victory for the Tyrolean league team over the regional league club and a worth seeing end with a cheer from the Wacker fans, which reminded of successful Wacker times. If things continue like this, those clubs that have the necessary capacities in their stadiums can look forward to great games.
Sensations in Götzens and Sellrain
The showed that you can stand up to a club from the HYPO Tirol Liga SV Raiba Götzenswho – supervised by ex-SPG trainer Elvir Karahasanovic – IAC threw 2:1 out of the cup competition and celebrated promotion to the next round.
