The Vietnamese sports delegation attended the 32nd SEA Games with 700 athletes. The goal of the delegation is to win from 90 to 120 gold medals and be in the top 3. This is a modest number compared to the record of 205 gold medals achieved by the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 31st SEA Games.
The SEA Games, which is traditionally held every two years, is Southeast Asia’s largest sporting event. The 32nd SEA Games will be held in Cambodia from May 5 to May 17. This is the first time the country has hosted the Southeast Asian Games.
The host country chooses 5 venues including Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kep and Kampot. Of these, Phnom Penh will host most of the games of the Games. The remaining localities will organize bicycle racing, sailing racing, jetski, bicycle racing, and triathlon.
