THE MINISTRY of Agriculture (Kementan) is ready to accelerate the handling of food emergencies with several programs and activities, one of which is through the Land Optimization program (OPLAH).
Director General (Dirjen) of Plantations Andi Nur Alam Syah together with Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo and Forkompimda Pulpis Regency along with Farmer Groups, symbolically planted the first rice plant, Wednesday (03/04), at the location of the Swamp Land Optimization Activity in Sanggang Village, Pandih District Batu, Pulang Pisau Regency
For your information, this initial planting will use the tapin system with the Inpari-32 variety, carried out on land belonging to the Sumber Rejeki Farming Group and will be followed by planting by other members of the Farmer Group. This village has 10 farmer groups with an area of 661 ha, where the average productivity reaches 3.3 tons/ha.
We were assigned by the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan), Andi Amran Sulaiman, to speed up the implementation of this OPLAH activity, and collaborate with the TNI. Director General of Plantations Andi Nur Alam Syah hopes that this program can increase the new planting area in Central Kalimantan and increase rice production and productivity.

Andi Nur further said that the OPLAH target is 81,088 ha in Central Kalimantan, while the OPLAH target for Pulang Pisau Regency is 21,453 ha. This is certainly not an easy thing, it requires commitment and collaboration from all parties.

Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo said “The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government will continue to provide support to farmers so that they can increase their production and welfare, thanks and appreciation for the central government’s support for Swamp Land Optimization and Pumping activities. “We hope that this program will improve the welfare of farmers and encourage Central Kalimantan to become a national food basket,” he hoped.
Meanwhile, Iwan Rosandrianto as Danrem 102 Panju said, “We, the TNI, are ready to support Land Optimization activities as conveyed by the Director General. We hope that the implementation of OPLA construction activities will be based on the SID that we have received. With the enthusiasm conveyed by the Director General, we are increasingly confident that OPLA construction activities can be carried out. completed according to target.”
At this moment, the groundbreaking agenda for the construction of a Rice Milling Unit (RMU RTR) was also carried out in Pantik Village, Pandih Batu District, Pulang Pisau Regency, where the land used for the implementation of the RMU RTR Construction was 3.6 ha. (Z-7)
