The police investigating the fire case in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, where five people died yesterday (the 5th), are investigating the cause of the fire.
It was tentatively concluded that the victims came out of the hospital on the fourth floor, and that the fire was on the third floor of the golf driving range below it.
However, the people who did the demolition work at this driving range say that they did not touch the fire, so we need to investigate the cause further.
On the other hand, a visit to commemorate the nurse who died while trying to protect the patients continued today (6th).

In the Icheon hospital building fire that took the lives of five people, the first fire started at the indoor golf driving range just below the dialysis hospital.
In the joint inspection, it was confirmed that the inside of room 1 and the furniture of the golf driving range were all burned.

The first to notice the fire were the three workers who were demolishing the practice area.
The police called them as witnesses and investigated them, saying, “I saw sparks from the ceiling while working and tried to extinguish them.”
Accordingly, the police are investigating whether there is a worker’s negligence as well as electrical factors such as a short circuit.
In addition, as the smoke that spread in an instant caused a lot of casualties, we plan to check whether the smoke control equipment is properly equipped through the second joint investigation.
At the time of the fire, the funeral of the late Eun-kyung Hyun, who died protecting dialysis patients, continued to mourn throughout the day.

On the online memorial hall created by the Korean Nursing Association, more than 800 comments were posted in one day saying, “I am very sorry,” and “I will remember the spirit of sacrifice.”
President Yoon Seok-yeol mourned, saying, “We must not forget the sacrifice and dedication of the current nurse.”
