Doha: Under the leadership of INCAS Qatar Kozhikode district committee, a reception was held for the leaders and prizes were distributed to the winners of the speech competition. Congress leaders from Kozhikode, Adv. Reception for Vidya Balakrishnan (National Secretary, IYC), PK Habib Vanimeel (Vice President, DCC), Adv Sufiyan Cheruvadi (District General Secretary, Youth Congress), Jyoti Gangadharan (IT Coordinator, DCC Kozhikode) and speech for children on the occasion of Children’s Day The distribution of prizes to the winners in various categories of the matsam was also held at Hilal Kalakshetra.
Alim Sain and Mehjabin KT won first and second positions respectively in category A Malayalam speech competition. Anum Mansoor, Sahareen Abeeb and Nafeesa bagged the first three positions in English.
Mehreen KT and Shifin Siddique in Category B Malayalam. Aiden Joseph, Alok NM and Aisha Tania won first and second positions in English.
The reception meeting was conducted by Central Committee Advisory Board Chairman Siddique Purail under the chairmanship of District President Vipin PK Mepayur. Chief Patron Ashraf Vadakara, Arts Wing Chairman Sarin Keloth and District Media Incharge Secretary Altaf O.K spoke in the meeting where District General Secretary Muhammadali Vanimel welcomed. Aziz Purail, Rafi Kavil, Rajilal, Jitesh Naripatta, Hafil Otuwayal and Sachin led the speech competition under the leadership of Arts Wing Chairman Sarin Kelot. Adv Vidya Balakrishnan, PK Habib Vanimeel, Adv Sufiyan Cheruvadi and Jyoti Gangadharan, who participated as guests, elaborated on the need to ensure a strong presence of the Indian National Congress in the contemporary political scenario in India. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by District Treasurer Harish Kumar
