This Sunday morning, an accident occurred in Mellet, in the province of Hainaut. A driver missed his turn and drove into a house in the village. The car destroyed the facade and partially entered the house. The front gable fell on the driver when he tried to get out of his vehicle.
“Fortunately, there was no one inside because the house is for sale. The driver was driving too fast when he arrived at an S-bend”, explained the Brunau police area.
The motorist was taken to hospital according to information from our correspondent Fabian Vanhove. “He got out of the car through the passenger side door. He was lucky because part of the facade collapsed on the vehicle“, said the police.
