Consultations with specialists and general practitioners at low cost continue by professionals and medical interns from the Autonomous University of Coahuila, where up to 15 daily visits are generated, said Raymundo Verduzco Rosán.
The director of this community assistance program commented that the costs are symbolic of 50 pesos and they attend from Monday to Friday in the morning.
This center is located on Francisco Murguía and Francisco I. Madero streets, next to the Faculties of Nursing and Medicine.
“It is a unit that we belong to the Faculty of Medicine for the care of the low-income population and where students help us with practices, as well as teachers,” he said.
He commented that they have 25 specialists such as dentistry, ophthalmology, nutrition, psychiatry, among others.
“We charge 50 pesos if the patient does not have resources, care is given, it is for the open population and the objective is to support them,” he said.
He recalled that even when a person requires surgery, they are referred to an institution for care.
He stressed that the most requested care is in angiology, internal medicine, overweight, endocrinology, cardiology and ophthalmology. (INFONOR)
