Special services recommended Zelensky to leave Ukraine within three days

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, he decided to stay in Kyiv during the Russian special operation, despite the fact that the secret services and Western partners insisted that he leave the country.

“Everyone told me on February 24 that I should immediately leave Ukraine. This information came from both our special services and foreign partners. They all recommended that I leave the country within three days. Every 20 minutes someone called me and said that I have to leave,” Zelensky said in an interview with Czech television.

However, Zelensky made the decision to stay in Kyiv before February 24. Then the idea arose to distribute videos confirming that he was indeed in the capital of the country.

“I became annoyed that someone constantly said that I had left somewhere. It was unpleasant, and I said that if we were only in this [президентском] office, so then no one will believe [что мы находимся в Киеве]. We must go out into the street and many more people will see us,” Zelensky said.
