The head of Operations of the Civil Protection and Fire Service Command (SPCB) of Lunda Sul, Calemba Mununga, defended the need for specialists from this body to be more active and concise in extinguishing possible fires. The officer represented the provincial commander of the SPCB of Lunda Sul, Manuel Queta, at the end of the 5th fire training course, aimed at 60 firefighters.
According to the person responsible, last Monday, the main objective is to save human lives and material goods. He praised the dedication and encouraged the trainees to apply the knowledge acquired in preventing and fighting fires in their areas of jurisdiction.
Calemba Mununga also stated that, at a time like this during the festive season, there is an urgent need for SPCB staff to provide more information to communities regarding the dangers of flammable materials.
The training lasted eight days and aimed to provide trainees with methods for mitigating fires within the province’s strategic and socio-economic objectives.
