The company opened its doors this Friday and Saturday.Six years ago and following having spent five years fitting out luxury yachts and sailboats at the La Ciotat shipyards, Simon Alexandre returned to his native lands in Autun and founded his a company he called S Agencement. In 2020, in the midst of the Covid period, Clémence, who then worked at Quai des Notaires, then joined her husband in the company. There, S Agencement took off once more. “Two years in a row, we have doubled our turnover,” says Simon Alexandre. Last September, S Agencement changed its name to Spatia. A new name inaugurated during the Autun Economic Fair. This change of name is accompanied by a major development of the company’s premises in Bellevue with a double extension. Double extension which makes it possible to create a real showroom, new administrative spaces with the design office, but also the reorganization of the workshop with a park of unique digital machines in Autunois-Morvan. 100% Autunois productions…
This redevelopment allows Spatia to offer 100% autunoise productions with PEFC-certified wood materials. “We take care of everything. From taking the dimension, to the installation, passing through the 3D design in connection with the customers and the production… Not to mention the following-sales service”, explains Simon Alexandre. And to add: “Before being installed, all our productions are edited”.
Currently, 60% of Spatia’s customers are individuals, with very strong demand in the Beaune region, where Spatia intends to set up a business. “Individuals ask us for the creation of dressing rooms, kitchens and living spaces…. The remaining 40% are professionals,” explains Simon. Locally, Spatia has worked for the Greater Autunois-Morvan Tourist Office, Krys, Kalista, Autun Morvan Development Training and the training organization APOR, which has acquired the products of the “Pop’Epure” brand. . An eco-responsible brand created by Spatia, only for professionals.

Today, Spatia has 7 people, namely the two managers, Simon and Clémence, and 5 employees. “All employees have studied at the Technological and Professional Center of the Lycée Bonaparte. They have all been on internship here, which allowed me to train them,” says Simon Alexandre. A policy hailed by the Lycée itself. “Simon really plays the game with the trainees”, confides a professor of the establishment. This “in-house” training now allows the business manager to break away from production in complete peace of mind to go more towards management.
In September, the Spatia team will expand with a sales representative. But in the long term, Simon and Clémence plan to employ around fifteen people.
